‘All politics is local’ illustrated

“All politics is local” is a truism attributed to former Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill. In fact, he is the author of book with that title. What I think may be a pretty good example of “all politics is local” is that here in Ennis, as in most school districts, we’re in the process of trying to craft a budget to guide financial activity in the next school year with less money than last year and there is still optimism that new expenditures will somehow wiggle into the plan.
