A popular program on National Public Radio is “A Prairie Home Companion” where one of the running jokes is that the moderator is from a small Minnesota town named Lake Woebegone whose motto is “Where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking and all the children are above average.” Most parents would like to believe that their children are, indeed, above average. Clearly, that’s not possible – just like no human athlete can give 110 percent, no matter how hard he tries.
