Promise of a new year

The end of a calendar year and the beginning of a new one always brings two major thoughts to mind — remembering what occurred during the past 365 days and looking forward to the next 365.
When the year 2012 began, Ennis ISD was in the middle of a challenging school year. The tuberculosis outbreak and numerous other unexpected and unplanned events had us wishing for a return to normalcy when the calendar switched to Jan. 1.
