Crawfords welcome Elizabeth Mackenzie

Submitted photo / Dustin and Julie Crawford, of Palestine, are pleased to announce the July 12 birth of daughter Elizabeth Mackenzie Crawford. She was born at Palestine Regional Medical Center, weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 22 inches long. She has one older brother, Aaron Crawford.

Maternal grandparents are Gorden and Barbara Macalik, of Ennis. Paternal grandparents are Kim Crawford and the late Kenny Crawford, of Palestine. Great-grandparents include Daniel and Margie Macalik, of Ennis; Leslie Kub and the late Maryann Kubin, of Ennis; Helen Aaron, of Crane; and Charlene Crawford and the late Earl Crawford, of Crane.

Rejcek-Pechal plan summer wedding in St. Thomas

Jerry and Denise Rejcek are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carly Erin Rejcek, to her high school sweetheart, Dillon Jake Pechal, son of Cindy and Larry Pechal.
Carly is the granddaughter of Wesley and Pauline Lanicek and Edward and Bernice Rejcek. The soon-to-be Mrs. Pechal graduated from Ennis High School and from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012, earning her Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Art Education in 2012. Carly is the art and graphic design teacher at Palmer High School.
Dillon is the grandson of Gene and Helen Pechal and the late Joe and Margie Duke. Dillon graduated from Ennis High School as well as earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Leadership with an emphasis in construction science from Texas A&M University in 2009. He currently is employed at Woodwright where he is a project manager.
Carly and Dillon will wed in St. Thomas, USVI this June. With their toes in the sand, they will exchange their vows with family and friends on Lindquist Beach. That evening they will celebrate their marriage on St. John’s Terrace at Sugar bay Resort and Spa. The couple will reside in Ennis, unless they decide to become permanent vacationers.
