Snyder signs with SAGU

Dalton Snyder loves the game of football, and the senior wasn’t ready to put his playing days in the past.

Lion football players were among a number of Ennis High students to receive recognition on Thursday night at the Knights of Columbus Hall, as everyone associated with the football program was praised for their efforts.

Lion to play college ball

On Tuesday, Seth Smith signed his letter of intent to play football at Texas A&M Commerce.

Seth Smith had never played varsity football at this point a year ago, but on Tuesday the Lion senior signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions.

Harrell’s opportunity ‘surreal’

Certainly Graham Harrell was a happy man when the Green Bay Packers signed him in May 2010, because the former Ennis Lion record setter thought he was good enough to play at football’s highest level.

Ennis tabs Alvarez as coach

On Tuesday night, the Ennis Independent School District’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Jack Alvarez as the new head coach of Lion football.
