The Ennis American Legion girls 8-and-Under team after sweeping four teams at the district tournament in Kerens. They are now headed to Temple for the 10-team state tournament next week.

After pasting local and area competition, the Ennis American Legion 8-and-Under girls team will take their baseball game to the state level next week in Temple.

RED OAK — Playing like a team destined for a higher finish, No. 5 ranked Ennis built an 11-0 lead and coasted to an 11-5 rout of Mesquite Poteet on Friday before a standing room only crowd at Red Oak High School.
