Theater hosts auditions for KIDS play

City to observe holiday

The city of Ennis will close its offices and refuse collection routes on Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year holiday. The city will reopen its offices and garbage collection routes will resume as normally scheduled on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Lock-in slated for teenagers

Ennis Bible Church has slated a “Teen Lock-In” for New Year’s Eve. The event is set from 8 p.m. Dec. 31 to 8 a.m. Jan. 1 at the church, located behind The Wall restaurant on Ennis Avenue. For more information, call Sandra Slovak at 972-875-4794.

New Year’s Eve celebration set

First Presbyterian Church in Ennis has slated a New Year’s Eve celebration starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31. The evening will feature food, fun and games. The church is located at 210 N. McKinney St. For more information, call 927-875-3196.

The offices of The Ennis Daily News will be closed on Dec. 24-25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will be no Dec. 25 edition printed. Regular office hours and newspaper circulation will resume Wednesday, Dec. 26.
