Fish fry slated April 18

Alliance of Faith United Methodist Church will host a freshwater catfish lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the church, located at 1306 N. One dead in head-on collision

Police say a 58-year-old from Frost died Monday at about 5 p.m. when an 18-wheeler turned into his vehicle at FM 85 and Kaufman Street.

Sokol Party slated April 4

Miller Morning Madness, the annual PTO fundraiser at Dorie Miller Intermediate School, is set from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at the school, located at 2200 W. Lampasas St. The event includes breakfast and fellowship.
