Bardwell House Fire Extinguished

Area firefighters were able to extinguish a fire before it spread early Sunday morning. At 2:20 a.m., Bardwell Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a house fire at 1270 FM 984, about two miles northwest of Bardwell. City approves water audit

Ennis City commissioners passed a resolution at Monday’s City Commission meeting with a 5 to 1 vote, authorizing City Manager Chuck Ewings to enter into an agreement with Ameresco, Inc. to conduct an audit on water meters in the city of Ennis.
