MAAG to meet at Bardwell

The Methodist Active Adult Group will meet at the Bardwell Limited Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 for a pot luck lunch. Ennis ISD will open two hours late on Monday because of adverse weather conditions, according to Assistant Superintendent James Sanders.

Miller Morning Madness slated Saturday

Miller Morning Madness, the annual PTO fundraiser at Dorie Miller Intermediate School, is set from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at the school, located at 2200 W. Lampasas St. The event includes breakfast and fellowship.

Daddy daughter dance on tap

The Ennis High School National Honor Society Daddy Daughter Dance is set from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at the EHS Bardwell Commons. The event is open to any girl and father figure, with a cost of $10 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. Dress in Sunday best.

EPT’s ‘Clue’ continuing

City officials are working with the Waxahachie YMCA to bring their activities to Ennis and, at some point in the future, possibly build a new YMCA facility in town.

Schools closed for holiday

Ennis ISD schools will be closed for the Martin Luther King Day holiday on Monday, Jan. 20. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
