LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION TO BID “E 13-01” MISCELLANEOUS UTILITY DEPARTMENT MATERIALS Sealed bids, addressed to Steve Howerton, City Manager, City of Ennis, Texas, will be received at the office of the City Manager, P.O. Box 220, 115 W. Brown St., Ennis, Texas 75120 until 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 and then publicly opened and read in the City Commission Chambers at the same time and date, for “E 13-01” Miscellaneous Utility Department Materials. The materials consist of fire hydrants, water meters, screened sandy loam, pea gravel, flex base, carbon, water pipe, and various chemicals used in the treatment of water and wastewater. Specifications will be mailed to all interested vendors and are also available from the office of the City Manager, Ennis, Texas. LEGAL NOTICE Public Notice to City of Ennis Water System Customers The City of Ennis is planning routine maintenance and system reconfiguration for potable water supply ammonia feed systems. During this maintenance activity, the City will utilize free chlorine as the primary disinfectant in accordance with EPA and TCEQ standards. This disinfectant change will begin on September 3, 2012 and will continue through September 21,2012. During this time period, customers who use special equipment and systems such as kidney dialysis machines or other medical equipment should be aware of potential problems. In addition, tropical fish aquariums and holding tanks for fish and shellfish should be aware that this temporary change in our disinfection process may create a problem for aquatic life if not property addresses. Users are encouraged to contact an appropriate professional for guidance on how to use their equipment during this period.
