LEGAL NOTICE
Ellis County Shared Services provides special education and related services to children with disabilities residing within the school district boundaries of Avalon ISD, Ferris ISD, Italy ISD, and Milford ISD. Special education services are available to children with disabilities ages 3 through 21. Children who have impaired vision or hearing can receive services from birth through age 21. Service are also provided to students with disabilities attending private schools within the boundaries of Ellis County Shared Services regardless of the child’s place of residence, and to children attending a home school. If your child attends public, private, or home school in Avalon ISD, Ferris ISD, Italy ISD, or Milford ISD and you believe your child has or may have a disability, please contact your local school district or Ellis County Shared Services at 972-544-2058. We will work with you to evaluate your child, determine if your child has a disability that makes him/her eligible for special education services, and provide special education services to your child if he/she does qualify for services.
