Public Notice Application for Federal Funds
Ennis ISD provides special education for disabled children from 3-21 years of age (birth through 21 if visually or auditorially disabled), as required by state and federal law. The Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities is provided by Ennis ISD to all eligible children. If you have or know of a young child who displays a significant cognitive, motor, or language delay, or who has a severe medical problem, call the Special Education office at 972-872-7040. This district strives to provide appropriate programs for all eligible students. The programs are established on the following principle: Each student is entitled to education opportunities appropriate to his/her abilities and needs. Notice is hereby given of the Ennis Independent School District’s intent to submit an application for federal funds under the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Act. The application process will begin on June 1st and end on August 1st, 2013. A meeting will be held at the Ennis ISD Administration Board Room at 303 W Knox Street on Thursday, April 25th from 6:00 o 7:00 p.m. to discuss the application and proportionate share for eligible private and home school students. Individuals, private schools, home schools, organizations and other agencies are invited to participate in the application process.
