Accessibility is key in government
We can’t say enough that we completely agree with proposals to change the way the Ennis Independent School District holds its public meetings.
Currently, the board hosts its open meeting and adjourns into closed-door executive session deliberations after conducting much of the evening’s business.
However, those sessions stretch for hours, through a dinner catered by the district’s food service vendor, and have in some instances headed past 10 p.m.
