Censure would have made sense

Tuesday night’s meeting of the Ellis County Republican Party left me thinking one thing the whole way home: “Well, that didn’t go as I expected.”

I hadn’t been to a party meeting since the last time they got together to vote on a censure resolution in 2011, after the Ellis County Commissioners Court voted 3-2 to raise taxes. I figured if they would censure the court for raising taxes, a censure for eliminating evening meetings was a sure bet.
