It’s finally here.
Whatever your walk of life or obligations for today and this weekend, wherever your family plans to go for Labor Day or whether you’re going anywhere at all, we all are thinking of the same thing for tonight.
Ennis Lions football is live tonight at home. The team, coming off of tough season in 2009-10 and a harsh lesson served up last week at Arlington Seguin, is back here and opening home play with its showdown tonight against Keller Fossil-Ridge.
We as a community would be in the wrong if we did not turn out to support this year’s Ennis Lions.
This being the first home game of the varsity team’s schedule, it gives us a chance to show just how much we care about the team.
It doesn’t take a sportswriter to tell you Ennis has a deep love for its home team.
We are absolutely addicted to watching the Lions play and cheering them on, supporting them through multiple avenues for as long as most of us can remember. This city bleeds Ennis Lions maroon.
Don’t make this the game you miss this year, either — having the whole community turn out to watch our Lions take on Fossil-Ridge will be a big part of helping the Lions team feel the support needed to succeed this season.
By all accounts, traffic might end up being a headache, but you’ll be there to give the Lions the home field crowd advantage and intimidate the visitors with the sheer volume of our cheers and our numbers.
Be a part of the Ennis Lions’ tradition of excellence and help them overcome one of the hurdles in their schedule this year.
We need the community to be a part of the program — both internally and through watching the games — to make the Ennis Lions’ team as good as it can be this year.
Go Lions!
