Enthusiasm of voters is gratifying


It’s encouraging when we have the kind of voter turnout that strains the elections division of the county a little bit.

We’re also glad to hear that voting went on and votes were counted despite the additional problem of a shortage of available ballots and several precinct locations around the county. Shortages weren’t limited to any one community — Ennis, Midlothian, Red Oak and others saw their ballots run short, but elections officials were on top of the problem with substitute ballots copied, counted and managed.
