First amendment under attack in Missouri

The events coming out of Ferguson, Missouri should be giving anyone who cares about the rule of law pause. Mike Brown’s death at the hands of a police officer is just one of several in a line of incidents in which a black man was killed under less than transparent circumstances. It’s a disturbing trend, and the situation surrounding its latest iteration in Missouri is quickly spiraling out of control.

I stayed up late Thursday night far later than I should have watching online streams from freelance journalists inside Ferguson, streaming live from the scene of nonviolent protests being dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets by a militarized police force.
