Hazard study is a good step


Knowing what kind of potentially dangerous materials are traveling around the transit lines of our county seems like it would be a no-brainer, a kind of regulation that makes perfect sense for a county’s safety.

The Ellis County Local Emergency Planning Committee should have access to this information, but it doesn’t right now. We don’t know what is traveling on our roads and in the pipelines that traverse our area in a centralized location.
