Honoring police takes on a new meaning

Police Memorial Day gained a lot more meaning for me now that I’ve got police in the family.

Since my cousin became a police officer last year, a lot of things like that have changed. One of the many things that changed is with him working nights, our mutual video game habit is confined to his days off, or extend well into the night so he can maintain his diurnal sleep patterns. It’s like college in that way, except instead of having to ask him to keep it down so I can get some sleep before class, I have to bail on him so I can wake up for work the next morning.
