Improving is the best outcome

You have to hand it to the teachers and administrators at Ennis ISD.

This district’s been through a lot, even in the two years since I’ve been here. From the high school’s academically unacceptable rating in 2011, the tuberculosis outbreak, to several high profile arrests and now the search for a new superintendent, things could have gone better for the district as a whole.

The accountability results released last week showed Ennis improving across the board, with each campus meeting the state’s standards and several campuses earning distinction.
