It’s hard to be optimistic

Monday’s news that District Judge John Dietz found the current school funding scheme unconstitutional was shocking. It reminded me of the the State Board of Education’s decision in August 2011 to approve high school biology texts that contained actual science as opposed to creationism.
I’m surprised when anything happens at the state level that’s actually beneficial to Texas students, as opposed to serving craven political principles.
