Open your hearts to refugees

It seems like recently I can’t go a week without seeing something in the statewide or national news that doesn’t make me question my faith in the greater goodness of mankind.

The most recent blow to my psyche came last week when I saw a local newspaper which shall go unnamed run a story about refugees from Central and South America coming across the border with scabies, with the implication that diseased hordes are surging in from Mexico, contaminating our once-great nation.

As usual, a cursory Google search showed it was hogwash.
