Public notice in newspapers is a necessity
It’s concerning to see cost-cutting measures at the state level turn into a vehicle for the disruption of the standing tradition of requiring governments to use printed notices in newspapers.
A bill pre-filed for this year’s Legislature would empower governmental entities to use their websites to fulfill public notice requirements.
