Public’s right to know is key concern
We would hope the Texas Attorney General would see the need to shine light on dealings between the county’s commissioners court and one of its professional services providers after questions about the legality of the relationship went public.
A former purchasing agent has alleged the county has operated in a way that violated state statutes governing bidding out contracts for services, and we believe looking at the history of the county’s relationship with the company is completely reasonable.
