Ring in the New Year with self-control
Chances are, between now and the start of the new year on Tuesday, we’ll each have an opportunity to exercise good judgment in connection to alcohol.
Whether for any specific individual that means abstaining, imbibing in small measure or engaging a designated driver to ensure safe transport, we all need to be thinking along these lines. The reason isn’t just because law enforcement agencies beef up patrols looking for drunk drivers, either. It’s because, as was so well stated by a reader earlier in the week, lives are on the line every time a drunk gets behind the wheel.
