Special road spending is welcome
When Gov. Rick Perry called for $3.7 billion in infrastructure investments in the Legislature’s work crafting a budget this term, we were deeply pleased.
When you’ve waited as long as Ennis has for updates to the veritable deathtrap that is the U.S. 287 Bypass in its two-lane form on the south side of town, even the dangling possibility of increases to statewide infrastructure spending is like water to a man in the desert.
