Superintendent brings promise of new energy


With the expectation the Ennis Independent School Board will step into its chambers at the EISD Administration Building on Monday and accept John Chapman as the new superintendent in Ennis, we will begin a new era for our community.

The impact of the schools on our economy, our quality of life and our direction cannot be overstated. Families make a community, and families often make their decisions on life and career with their minds firmly fixed on the quality of education that is available to their children. That is as it should be: Children represent our gift to the world, our future and our hopes, so we naturally put them first.
