Water use is a key issue

Browsing the news — a favorite diversion for many a journalist on their off days — can be terrifying, because it can remind us of our forgotten vulnerabilities.

Perhaps you’re already aware of the coal chemical spill in West Virginia at the end of last week that quite completely cut off entire communities from their drinkable water supply. Only some areas were coming back online as of Tuesday and today.
