Public Notice to City of Ennis Water
The City of Ennis is planning routine maintenance and system reconfiguration for potable water supply ammonia feed systems. During this maintenance activity, the City will utilize free chlorine as the primary disinfectant in accordance with EPA and TCEQ standards. This disinfectant change will begin on September 3, 2013 and continue through September 26, 2013. During his time period, customers
who use special equipment and systems such as kidney dialysis machines or other medical equipment should be aware of potential problems. In addition, tropical fish aquariums and holding
tanks for fish and shellfish should be aware that this temporary change in our disinfection process may create a problem for aquatic life if not properly addressed. Users are encouraged to contact an appropriate professional for guidance on how to use their equipment during this period. If you would like further information, please contact Robert Bolen at the City of Ennis Utilites Department 972-875-1234 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm – Monday through Friday.
