Tea Party speaks on local, national issues

Many citizens of the country are tired of government, at all levels taking over our lives. From Washington, D.C. to Austin to your local city councils and school boards government entities are passing laws and assessing taxes that are taking away our liberties and freedoms. At the same time they are destroying the opportunity for us and our kids to enjoy the type of life our forefathers enjoyed. Are you one of these people?

If so, the Ellis County Tea Party was established in April 2009 to help people just like you work to restore these freedoms and liberties. Come join them in their battle to take back our country from the hoards of liberals who have instituted these intrusive measures.

Meeting time is:

6 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the La Quinta Inn in Waxahachie located just east of Hwy 77 on Hwy 287.

This week Larry Burden will be speaking on how the government is spinning the financial mess they have created and how the Federal Reserve, as an unelected and bureaucratic administrative arm, has quietly brought this country to a financial brink.

Burden is a rancher, accountant and entrepreneur with expertise in financial analysis. He will review the American financial predicament as it is spun by our Government and reveal their story as a myth concealing a disaster. The conclusion of the presentation will cover areas of the future value of our currency as orchestrated by the Federal Reserve in coordination with the current Administration, the ramifications of deflation vs. inflation and the possibilities of various outcomes depending on the actions or inactions taken by Congress, the Federal Reserve and our President.

Do not be lulled into complacency or indifference about the issue of our economic straits. The irreparable damage done to our future economic liberties affects every citizen whether 6 or 60. We are currently faced with these issues because of past economic bubbles, the ensuing bailouts and because of our past and future profligate fiscal spending. Our government’s future financial outcome hinges on choices that range from bad to really horrible. There will be financial pain on a national and individual level. No one and no group will be exempt from our coming financial correction.

However, by discussing these issues Burden hopes that individuals and their families will more fully understand the true precariousness and inevitable “reset” of our Nation’s financial existence; and, with this knowledge, not only be able to prepare their family finances, but will help other hapless family members and friends. Without aware, prepared and vigilant citizens, we will are destined to become a Nation governed and controlled through financial oppression.

Join the Ellis County Tea Party on Saturday night as we continue to fight this oppression and to regain freedoms that we have let slip from our grasp over the last 75 years.

Gary Bennett, President, Ellis County Tea Party
