Henrietta Novotny’s birthday celebration

Photo by Carol Grey Honza / Henrietta Novotny, escorted by Watson Hall, was honored with the first waltz, “Could I Have This Dance,” accompanied by the Gary Lee Orchestra, to begin the festivities in celebration of her 75th Birthday. The event, attended by hundreds of guests from the Metroplex and Ennis areas, was given by her family, and was held at the Penthouse Ballroom of the Sterling Hotel in Dallas on Oct. 16.

Henrietta Novotny, well-known Ennis icon, talented business women, and entrepreneur, has spent three-quarters of her life navigating this world of challenges, and life’s accomplishments. On Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, 75th birthday honors were given to her in a unique and special celebration, hosted by her family — her son, Mike Novotny, and daughter Brenda Novotny DeVore, and husband, Stewart DeVore. Hundreds of family, friends, and business associates gathered at the Penthouse Ballroom of the Sterling Hotel of Dallas for an afternoon and evening of dining and dancing.
To open the festivities, Henrietta was invited to the center of the ballroom by Master of Ceremonies, Buford Watson.
