we have already been saved from the penalty of sin ! it’s the denial of the lordship of Jesus christ that will send to hell now. if one is conducting their walk in God with a mindset toward sin that if if only i could get cleaner than this, God would really accept me. this is where most Christians fall down and many never get past this point. Getting past it is not about getting cleaner but by revelation through meditating on the truths of Gods word. in doing this it is revealed that nobody in the history of humanity ever got clean except Jesus ( who was never unclean ) and God set us up to fail to draw our attention to the nature of grace and the truth of salvation is a gift and unattainable by works. at this point one begins to realize the stupidity of one’s beliefs in regard to salvation and falls to ones knees in desperation with pleeding for Gods help. and its not a help thats meant to come along side you, pick you up so you can once again try it on your own. NO, ultimately God desires that we require him for everything 24 / 7. we are always to live in him, with him and through him cause his desire is to live through us. salvation is not about learning how to stand on your own two feet as some may believe. we were never meant to do life alone as so many of us do. we were born into relationships ( family ) and our whole lives revolve around relastionship so it could be said that anybody who thinks they can make it on their own with or without God are just fooling themselves.
