Poor driving leads to arrest

After taking Bardwell resident Ricky Gomez into custody for driving without a license, police located two bags of what they believe to be cocaine in his blue Ford Taurus on Friday.
Det. Lt. Ron Roark said at 11:53 p.m. Gomez, 46, was stopped in the 100 block of S. Kaufman Street after allegedly being seen driving in the center lane of traffic and hitting the curb three times. Officer Brian Shahan stopped Gomez and when asked for a driver’s license, Gomez could not provide one. Gomez was taken into custody and police searched his vehicle.
