Blogger charged with felonies

Ellis County blogger Joey Dauben is being held in a Plymouth, N.H., jail on felony charges stemming from allegedly posting restricted information on his blog, The Ellis County Observer.
The charges against Dauben developed during a separate police investigation into a former police chief and include engaging in organized criminal activity, a second-degree felony, obstruction or retaliation, a third-degree felony, and misuse of official information, also a third-degree felony.
Det. J. Hoskins, an officer with the Combine Police Department in Kaufman County, helped form the investigation against former Bardwell police chief Michael Meissner and Dauben that led to their arrests.
