Laddy Rejcek, manager of Blazek Building Supply in Ennis, is glad a troubling set of robberies at stores here and in Waxahachie might be close to being solved.
An attempted robbery Monday was the Ennis location’s second since September, and the business’ Waxahachie location was robbed twice in May and June.
“We’re getting there,” Rejcek said. “I’m very impressed with what (Ennis police) are doing.”
Rejcek, himself a former law enforcement agent, knows how difficult the case is: shingles are virtually untraceable, he said, which adds another layer of difficulty to catching those behind the thefts.
