Shoppers give Ennis stores a boost

Although shoppers have been reluctant to spend in recent months, a number of Ennis shops reported an increase in sales in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Debbie Hedgpeth, who owns the Farm House, said although business is down from last year, the ladies clothing shop has been busy. Most of her customers have been local, and she said she appreciates the boost the Farm House gets from the shoppers in the community. Hedgpeth also encouraged those who haven’t shopped in Ennis to do so.
“People may be surprised at what they can find,” Hedgpeth said.
The shop will offer exchanges of items within three days of purchase.
