The Ennis Lions (8-14, 5-8) headed out on the road Friday yearning to pull the curtains over the top team in district.

The Lions needed to defeat the Lancaster Tigers (25-4, 12-1), shut down the Waxahachie Indians next Tuesday and hope the Mansfield Lake Ridge Eagles lost their final two matches to have a chance at making the playoffs.
