A star is poured


The Ennis Veterans Memorial star took shape Monday as contractors poured three truckloads of mix at the site before heavy rains swept into the area. Each of the points on the star will have a capstone with a different 48-inch representation of armed forces service emblems sandblasted into them and blackened.
