Avenue reopening in works

Ennis is trying to get its main thoroughfare back open to traffic after the May 16 tornado shut Ennis Avenue, but an exact timetable is probably premature.

A Friday deadline for the next step in reopening the roads — requiring engineering evaluation of plans to install modified barriers — has been set, however.
