Barton votes against budget

U.S. Rep. Joe Barton voted against HR 3547, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014, on Wednesday, though he pointed out a silver lining in the bill.
“Plain and simple, this bill increases spending,” Barton said. “We can’t keep cutting deals that ultimately add to the nation’s debt, while promising that we will make cuts sometime in the future.”
