Big day finally arrives

Give a Kid a Chance, the community’s back-to-school outreach event, started off at a steady pace Saturday, and organizers were ready for a marathon.

Marty Nelson, GAKAC director, said more than 450 registered families were expected to bring at least 1,000 children through the halls of Tabernacle for GAKAC’s third annual event.
