Facing a strong team on Wednesday night in Round Rock during the 2A state semis, the Palmer Bulldogs did a lot of things right and just barely missed out on the chance to play for all the marbles.
Palmer (22-13) led the Nacogdoches Central Heights Blue Devils (35-6) by a 3-0 margin heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but the home team came up with some clutch offensive execution to rally back for a 4-3 victory in the seventh and earned the right to face Cameron Yoe in the final today.
