Board to talk food, lawyer contracts

Phil Bankerp...@ennisdailynews.com

The Ennis ISD Board of Trustees will tackle a handful of items at tonight’s 6 p.m. meeting ranging from extending the district’s current food contract to the acquisition of legal services.

The board is set to vote on whether to continue its current food service contract with Sodexo. The district is currently in the fourth year of a five-year contract with the company, according to Diana Freeman, executive director of federal programs and career and technology education.

She said Sodexo offers school boards the opportunity to terminate the contract if they become dissatisfied with the level of service.
