The Ennis City Commission approved its $3-million general obligation bond issuance Monday as it speeds toward long-awaited road upgrades.
The approval Monday, with Mayor Russell Thomas executing paperwork for the new sale and a refunding bond issuance, gives the city the necessary funds to move ahead with $4.2 million in roadwork after months of discussion and planning.
