As a TTAB state tourney qualifier in 2010 and a 16-0 team so far this year, Bragg’s Appliance has to be considered the favorite heading into this week’s TTAB senior midget district tournament in Ennis.

“I think the fact that we’ve thrown strikes and not walked many batters has been the most important thing,” said coach Kelly Bragg. “If you walk somebody in this league, I would say they probably score 75 percent of the time — a walk is a run. Our guys also know what to expect at this level after most of them were with us last year. We force the other team to play baseball; if they play better, they’ll beat us.”
