Budgets in focus after jail plans die

It was back to business as usual for the Ellis County Commissioners Court on Monday morning, as they approved a slew of budgetary and elections-related issues.

The commissioners only briefly touched upon the subject of jail privatization that filled the courtroom on Thursday afternoon, just long enough to approve the rejection of the proposals for privatizing the jail as a whole.
