Businessmen buy tornado buildings

Nick Todaro, [email protected]

Two tornado-stricken buildings on West Ennis Avenue have new owners aiming to restore the properties to their pre-storm conditions.

Rob Beason, owner of the former La Galleria building on the corner of Dallas Street and West Ennis Avenue, confirmed the sale of his property in August, and Buddy Markham, who owns the former Salon 207 building, confirmed his property sold this week.

It is the first confirmed sales of tornado-damaged property in the four months since the May 16 tornado hit several businesses in downtown and east toward I-45.
