Last week’s crash on the two-lane stretch of U.S. 287 Bypass in Ennis is another in a string of wrecks along the road that have claimed multiple lives, caused dozens of injuries and led to untold property losses.

As is often the case on the bypass, one of the three drivers involved in the Monday crash is said to have run a red light at the four-way intersection with Oak Grove Road.
