Chamber cook-off returns

Another highlight of the month-long Bluebonnet Trails, apart from the Bluebonnet Festival, is the fifth annual Bluebonnet Barbecue Cook-off.
The event, sponsored by the Ennis Chamber of Commerce, offers up a challenge for anyone who fancies themself a grill master.
The cook-off is set for April 8-9 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ennis, with check-in at noon on Friday and cooking to run Friday night into Saturday morning. Featured categories for the event are beef brisket, pork spare ribs, pork shoulder/butt and chicken.
