The Ennis Lions (12-0, 7-0, 15-4A) are one step further into the 4A Division II playoffs after last Friday’s 64-13 blowout over Lucas Lovejoy in the area round of the playoffs. The Lions spent Tuesday morning practicing at an indoor field in Forney in preparation for Friday’s regional game against the Frisco Raccoons (9-3, 5-2, 13-4A).

Lion head coach Jack Alvarez is excited to be taking his Lions to AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the regional round of the playoffs.

“It’s going to be a great experience for the whole community of Ennis. I think it’s going to be a great experience for the band, cheerleaders, football team, sports writers; I think it’s going to be fun,” he said.
