City earns good marks on water

For another year, Ennis meets all federal health and safety standards required to boast a Superior Public Water System.
The 2012 Drinking Water Quality Report, an annual summary of test findings of Ennis water supply and treatment. The report shows the city’s supply, which it pulls from surface water at Lake Bardwell Reservoir, meets Environmental Protection Agency and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards for the superior designation and the city expects that designation to be renewed.
